Overview

The Airworthiness Software Support Analyst will exercise their attention to detail skills to dig deep into Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) products which are used to benefit United States Army aircraft. The individual will feel immersed in the team and will enjoy the benefits of being the interface to the warfighter!

Responsibilities

  • Review OEM documentation for compliance with government standards – specifically DO-178B/C.
  • OEM documentation read for understanding of the system, differences between the government standards, and to make high-level engineering decisions.
  • Discernment between generic differences of government standards and valid concerns the government has with OEM products.
  • Capability to communicate effectively with the customer as well as to relay related information and concerns to the customer on a need-to-know or on-request basis.
  • Interface with the government customer on a daily basis; building a deeper relationship with the customer.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • 0-3 years of Engineering experience.
  • Some understanding of:
    • Software development processes – Agile, Waterfall methods.
    • Hardware and Software relationships – the effects one has on the other, vice versa.
    • Hardware and Software relationships within a system and how they work together.
  • Some proficiency in C, C++, Java, Assembly Language/MIPS.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Above average communication skills.
  • Be self-motivated and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Ability to complete tasks in a timely fashion in order to meet deadlines.

Required Education: 

  • Must be working toward an Bachelors Degree at an ABET accredited University, majoring in one of the following engineering disciplines: systems, computer, electrical, mechanical or aerospace. 

  • Has already completed sophomore year of college (approximately 2-3 years left within program).

     

Desired Education: 

  • Completed Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in the one of the Engineering disciplines previously listed.

  • Completed Master of Science (MS) or Master of Engineering (ME) in one of the Engineering disciplines previously listed.

Security Clearance:

  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
