  • Overview

    JHNA is looking for Software Engineers to support the US Army’s Aviation Applied Technology Division (AATD) located at Ft. Eustis, VA.   AATD develops critical technologies and products to modernize, maintain and sustain Army Aviation.  


    Support Science & Technology (S&T) programs involving software intensive aviation mission systems. Duties may include any of the following:

    • Ability to produce optimal solutions to complex software systems integration problems;
    • Use of model-based systems engineering techniques and use of shared data models for integration of hardware and software components from multiple sources;
    • Integration for live-virtual-constructive simulation systems;
    • Knowledge of simulation development software, simulation and gaming engines, simulation architectures, and interoperable data exchange protocols for distributed simulations;
    • Maintaining awareness of the current state of technology and emerging trends in avionics and network architecture.



    Required Knowledge and Experience: 

    • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
    • Experience with software architecture design and implementation, and integration of disparate software systems using open systems architecture standards
    • Familiarity with data distribution methods
    • Familiarity with embedded systems and real-time operating systems
    • Candidate must have knowledge of: 
      • H/W and S/W integration
      • Architectures
      • Autonomy S/W
      • General network expertise


    • Bachelor’s degree in a technical major such engineering, computer science, mathematics or related field

    Security Clearance:

    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
