Aviation Operations Analyst needed to provide operations research analysis support, aviation capability analysis, M&S planning and execution to a military Science & Technology client.


  • Aid in the formulation of questions to solve problems using ORSA techniques and processes
  • Provides assistance in program and capability analysis of Army aviation science and technology program
  • Plan modeling and simulation exercises and tests
  • Designs and writes study plans for the collection and analysis of data using ORSA techniques and processes.
  • Support government S&T managers with: data analysis, risk mitigation, decision models, war gaming, simulation, resource allocation, data/info management, qualitative assessments, cost/benefit analysis, probability assessment, trending and forecasting, effects assessment, and statistical inference
  • Optimization (minimum or maximum quantities of a given objective function (aircraft probability of detection or survivability, for example))
  • Manage, analyze, and display large quantities of disparate data
  • Bring an analytical mind to bear in strategy and courses of action (COA) development and in war gaming
  • Manages the analysis of data and writing of reports summarizing findings and providing recommendations to users, war fighters, and developers
  • Presents study findings to US Army decision makers
  • Responsible for utilizing mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics techniques (linear programming, game theory, probability theory, symbolic language, etc.), and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines
  • Applies program wide knowledge of evaluation methodology for conducting qualitative analyses to evaluate effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of projects/programs and providing guidance to monitor, evaluate, and recommend program improvements




  • Minimum  of 5 years’ experience working in the field of Operations Research Studies and Analysis
  • Active Secret Clearance


  • S&T program support experience
  • 10 years’ experience working in the field of Operations Research Studies and Analysis with projects or programs involving army aviation
  • Operational military aviation experience, preferable with vertical lift aircraft
