JHNA is seeking a talented individual to support to the Joint Tactical Autonomous Aerial Resupply System (JTAARS) JCIDS requirements document development effort.

This individual will be responsible for articulating and codifying the operational requirements and operational architectures inherent in developing documents designed to inform the JCIDS process. They will also provide support to Joint Capabilities Test Demonstrations (JCTD) associated with the JTAARS program. Support will also be provided to the U.S. Army Futures Command, Sustainment CDID Requirements Directorate Distribution Requirements Development Branch.

  • The contractor shall assemble information developed during the JCTD process to inform requirements documents for Joint Tactical Autonomous Aerial Resupply System (JTAARS) Variants in support of the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) process.
  • The contractor must work closely with all aspects of JTAARS Variant Requirements and other Services and agencies to create and gather data and information to support development of the JTAARS JCIDS Operational requirements support documents.
  • The contractor shall also identify capability gaps. The document will include information relative to cyber and platform protection information.
  • Critical tasks include conduct of concepts-based analysis and supporting studies to identify solutions for capability gaps, development and integration of concepts and doctrine. This includes conducting a comprehensive analysis of and contributing to related JTAARS Concept of operations (CONOPs). Support shall include research, support to modeling and simulation, and analysis of all matters related to Brigade Combat Team (BCT) unmanned aerial resupply operations.
  • The contractor shall also prepare supporting DoDAF Operational Architecture products.
  • Specific duties include the development, staffing for approval various JCIDS informing required documents.

These include:

  • Assist in the development of JTAARS life cycle cost analysis.
  • Assist in development of final reports of the JTAARS AoA and C-BA.
  • Assist in the development of modeling and simulation efforts as directed in support of CONOPS, AoA, and other concept and doctrine study and analysis.
  • Support to the JTAARS Acquisition IPT. Assist in developing the JTAARS Acquisition Strategy.
  • Support to the JTAARS Cost IPT.
  • Assist in developing program affordability, life cycle cost estimates, and Cost Informed Trade Assessment (CITA).
  • Support to the Systems Engineering (SE) IPT.
  • Assist writing UAS operational capability requirements, assessing government and vendor system design reviews, and conducting system trade studies.
  • Support to the JTAARS Supportability IPT.
  • Assist in Life Cycle Support Plan (LCSP) development, BOIP and provisioning plan development, and developing the JTAARS Fielding Plan and final TADDS plan.
  • Support to the JTAARS Test and Evaluation IPT. 
  • Support the conduct of JCTD management, information and oversight committee briefings.



  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited college or university 
  • Experienced logistician with at least 5 years of sustainment operations work experience; deployment experience preferred.
  • Capable of explaining logistics operations in the context of operational concepts and architecture requirements showing how missions/tasks/and subtasks are decomposed into requirements and objectives.
  • Specific experience in preparing requirements documents.
  • Specific experience preparing C4ISR DoDAF operational architecture products
